The Back When Cafe   originally opened August 19th 1991 and began as a breakfast and lunch 'bistro'. The original restaurant comprised of a bar area and one dining room, "The Old Room", along with 3 private dining rooms upstairs. Eventually we began serving dinner in a casual fine dining atmosphere and started catering and banquets and the business grew. In 2003 we completed a $500,000 expansion to include a 2nd dining room, an outdoor dining area and a new kitchen.

Our staff strives to create a warm, friendly, relaxed and cozy atmosphere and we consider ourselves as a gathering place among friends.

The architecture is an ecclectic blend of the old and new with a touch of northwoods flair.
